Hi,

I've id'd some satellites I am interested in receiveing. When I punch in my lat/long to get elevation/az/skew numbers I am seeing that my skews on some of these birds are comming up greater then 30 degrees. Since the LNG has marks for +- 30 degrees do this mean they are out of skew range? Thanks,

-Steve

No the markings are just a guide, use the signal quality meter. Get as much quality as you can and leave the skew set to the maximum quality position.

Welcome to satelliteGuys.US!

If you have a motorized system you do not have to worry about Skew, it sets its self!

I've noticed sometimes the skew numbers they give can be off, especially if you are trying to pick up one channel.

The skew for G3 in my area is almost 0, but I found with it almost at 5-6 it works better for what I am trying to pick up :)

A little skew can make a LOT of difference
