I have a "permanent" (1 1/4" water pipe - 1.66" actual outside diameter) fixed mast on my roof. This was the right size for my old DirecTV dish, but I am soon switching to an HD dish, which I understand takes a mast which is larger in diameter.

I want to adapt the existing mast to the new dish, but I'm not 100% clear on the actual outside diameter of the mast for the new Slimline dish. I've read that it's 2 inches, but:

Q1. Is the Slimline mast O.D. 2" nominal pipe (2.375" actual), or is it 2" (2.0") ACTUAL? (I think the correct answer is 2.0" ACTUAL, but I need to be certain).

Q2. Secondly, regarding the portion of the dish that clamps to the top of the mast, what is its overall length (e.g. 4", 5", 6" or ??)?

Note: I'm not looking for advice on how to adapt the mast, I'm only interested in these two dimensions.

p.s. If anyone has a good photo that would be most welcome.

The mast is 2" od. About 4" is clamped onto the mast. Make sure you use the monopoles to stabilize the dish. It's rather heavy.
