Sling TV is the new home to India's largest television and entertainment network–DISNEY STAR. Hotstar Specials and Disney Star VOD content will be available with Sling’s Desi Binge Plus and Dakshin packs.

Exclusive, live and on-demand Desi content is now on one platform, including 19 linear channels and Hotstar VOD content in 7 languages. 150 hours of on-demand entertainment will be accessible each week via Disney Star.

Popular channels within the Disney Star brand include Star Plus (Hindi), Vijay TV (Tamil), Asianet (Malayalam), Star Maa (Telugu), Star Jalsha (Bengali), Star Pravah (Marathi), and Star Suvarna (Kannada).

Content that will be immediately available to stream on Disney Star includes Anupama, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, Geetha Govindam, Gowri Sankaran, Brahma Mudi, Intiki Deepam Illalu, Baghyalakshmi, Barathi Kannamma, 9 hours, Aashiqana & more.

To celebrate the massive launch of content, Sling is offering new subscribers a limited time promotion on their first month of Desi Binge Plus, enabling access for just $10. This also includes simultaneous streaming access across three devices, from smart TV, phone, tablet, and more. Desi Binge Plus hosts Hindi entertainment for the whole family, plus cricket, for a great low price.

Strange to see this as in other countries Star is included with Disney Plus.

But great to see Dish working with Disney. I am told Dish will be showing 4K games from ESPN soon too.

4K games from ESPN have started. There was a college football game last Saturday and another this coming Saturday.

Does anyone know if (is) DIRECTV carried (carrying) them?

Again happy to see that it appears Disney and DISH are working together. Seems so many are having issues lately.

DirecTV has been carrying ESPN 4K sports for years and continue the same.
You can tell I don't have DIRECTV then. Lol.

The last time I was at ESPN (right before the pandemic) the studio shows were all being done in 4K... the big joke there was the only place you would watch it in 4K was there.

Last year also.

Last year also.
The shots with actual 4K cams (or so it seemed) were spectacular last season. Usually it was sideline and up high.

I didn’t get to check the game Saturday, it was the Bama game, as I watched it at the Casino sports bar and they don’t have the TVs for it.

YTTV also, not Dish.

I have no idea if Comcast or Charter does.

These are what they are using for the ground shots-

Read before the up high shots are done with a 6K Camera.

I'm curious what Cricket. Unless, it'll just be Farsi coverage of the IPL and what not, and ESPN will show the good stuff with English commentary on ESPN+ as they have been doing.

I tried real hard to watch Willow on Sling, but the inserted ads really mess up watching stuff on demand (and even live!). Switched back to streaming directly through Willow, but generally some events are only available via cable/sat/Sling.

4K, 2K, 1K... all I know is that streaming Cricket games from Sri Lanka, the streams in mere HD, are beautiful on ESPN+. They just pump up the bandwidth or whatever. 4K would be nice, but honestly, true HD... actual HD is remarkable. I think 4K (assuming it is HDR) would be useful for sporting events on fields, where the field is half bathed in light, half in darkness.

Everything on ESPN+ is in 1080P, that is why I prefer watching MNF on it, versus 720P on ABC and regular ESPN.
