My install is this morning. Live 150 miles north of Los Angeles.

1) Will the locals I get be the L.A. locals?
2) Will they be in HD? (the ones that broadcast in HD).
3) Any eastern network channels available? (I have waivers).

is that the closest transmitter to you 150 miles? If that's so, I doubt very much you will get locals.

If they transmit in HD, yes.

OTA is free. So anything you can pick up is available to you. V* does not carry any local networks on satellite, so the waivers will not help.
