I do not think there are many preschool channels out there, but I could be wrong. Qubo is part time on Ion West. If there is an Ion affiliate in your area, you could try to pick up Qubo over the air for it 24 hours a day.

Pbs sprout is a better choice i think than qubo. My daughter likes disney jr on disney in the and pbs kids content better than what nick has to offer. To bad were stuck with only nick jr.

No there is not. Disney Jr for my kids ( 5 yr & 2 yr) will be their fav channel since they watch those programs a lot. Hoping Dish adds it to their lineup

i think we have enough children's channels. just my opinion.

To be honest, there are more (24 hour) children's channels than when I was younger. We pretty much watched Nickelodeon, TNT, TBS, USA, and the local affiliates for syndicated cartoons like Garfield and Friends. Disney was a premium channel until we got Toon Disney [now Disney XD] on cable; then, Disney was included in the superbasic channel lineup. Sadly, our cable provider did not have Cartoon Network on its superbasic lineup until 2001.

Saturday mornings are pretty sad on the local network affiliates now, but that is probably due to all the cartoon channels now.

I agree. When I was a kid I use to wake up every morning and watch great Saturday morning cartoons on the broadcast networks. Even up too a few years ago with KidsWB. Now they are pathetic in what they show. Now the only network that had good Saturday morning cartoons which was KidsWB is now KidsCW showing stupid kids anime crap while the other networks are showing stupid news and political programs which use to be reserved for Sunday morning.

At least Cartoon Network is showing new cartoons of Young Justice, Ben 10, Green Lateran etc Saturday mornings but I DVR them now as I don't get up in the mornings anymore.

I actually watch boomerang most nights with my tv on sleep timer when I go to bed. I can't sleep without a little background noise but I am a big fan of boomerang. No kids needed. I don't get into modern kids shows often but I do love me some 80s and 90s cartoons from my childhood.
