BUT what does he think he's going to be able to do with it? It cannot be added to any account with any other type of receivers, (except possibly a Wally or 211) so why wouldn't he just get a free one from DISH as a new install or upgrade???

Ironically, we're currently making a huge push in the (mod deleted) area, but finding a free Duo is going to be nearly impossible.
What are you going to do with it?? Subscribe?? You'll still be charged $10/mo for the access fee

I've never done DISH and haven't done DirecTV in over a decade. I have no idea what they give you now or what they charge you for or of any channels that may be available, either paid or free. I just posted with another possibility because everyone was jumping on the person and that is not what this site is supposed to be about.

And the "free" hardware comes with a two year contract with ETFs. Even with the Flex pack, that's still $68 per month, plus Regulatory fees, taxes, and any equipment costs.

It's funny Jerry has but 2 posts on this website. The first one was about how Dish didn't want his Hopper with Sling back. If he has an HWS why does he need a Hopper Duo?

Is "Dishscapes" worth the expense? He could check out Earthcams, those are all free. As far as music, there's Pandora, Spotify, SXM free trials, FTA...

I have a 922 and a couple other recievers and they pick up scapes and over the air pretty well without service
