Twice in past week while watching tv my reciever displayed a erorr code 514c saying something is not right and needs to reset because software may be unstable. It takes about 5 minutes to do so. Anyone else see this?

Hey,

We definitely understand how frustrating receiving an error while trying to watch can be and will be happy to check some things with you to help get this resolved.

This message is displayed when the receiver has not downloaded a nightly update in more than 72 hours. The receiver must download the nightly update in order for you to continue using the receiver, and the receiver must be off for the update to start. You want to make sure you are turning the receiver off after use or have the inactivity timeout set to turn off on its own.

Please go into your Power Settings and make sure the Daily Reset Time is scheduled for a time when the receivers are powered off and no recordings or timers scheduled. If you are unsure how to get to the Power Settings, please provide us with your receiver model. We will be happy to get these steps for you!

Possibly switching from xfinity to Dish
