Sony 42" RP-LCD....$1999 after rebates.

Best buy has the Sony 42" grand wega rear projection LCD for $2199, then there is a $200 mail in rebate, and then a $100 best buy gift card.

I know that's a really good deal for this unit, but what do the next few months hold? Any idea what the new models should list at, and what effect that will have on these older units?

Trying to decide if I should buy now or wait a couple months. Any suggestions are very welcome! Thanks guys.

August- the new models 42 and 50 will add a much smaller form factor. The same height and width as the 36" CRT Wega. They will also have the manual/auto iris, that will greatly improve grey scale, and i think (not sure) response time could be as low as 5 milliseconds.
