Sony TV stopped communicating with my dish receiver

I have a Sony Bravia that has been working with dish receiver for 3 years. Yesterday I switched over to my Apple TV on hdmi3 for a couple of hours, then when I switched back to my disk receiver on hdmi 1, I got no signal message and a blue screen. Called dish. They came out with new receiver. It wouldn't work either. Apple TV still works on my Sony. Connected another TV (Samsung) to old receiver and it works fine with old receiver. Dish technician said my tv has a problem. Any thoughts as to what happens to my Sony TV ?

Did you try another HDMI input on the Sony?

Yes I tried the hdmi port that works with the apple TV and dish receiver did not work with it.

Did you swap HDMI cables. Might have a bad one in the mix.

Yes we tried 2 addition hdmi cables that work with other tv's

I moved a Samsung TV from bedroom and it works fine with the dish receiver.

Have you unplugged/replugged AC power to the Sony?

Sony may need it's computer rebooted, follow the advice.

I did not before I replaced it with Samsung, I will take it to bedroom and connect it to another receiver to see if that helps? Thanks

That's the thing,they're not TV's anymore,they are computers.

My Sony TV in my bedroom will sometimes not see the Dish Hopper. It also happened with my old Dish box. Don't happen often. Been resetting for years. Sometimes the audio breaks up too. A simple channel change fixes that.

I had to hard reboot - unplug - my Visio sound bar the other day to get it to work.

Just think, in the world of the internet of things we may need to reboot our refrigerators, coffee pots, toasters, and thermostats. Yay!
