Unless firmware has recently changed, the Orby receiver Signal Level and Signal Quality readings have always been swapped. The Signal Quality meter displays the AUTO GAIN CONTROL reading (signal level), the Signal Level meter displays the BIT ERROR RATE reading (signal quality).

The Signal Quality reading is actually the LNB amplifier and the Signal Level reading is the satellite signal quality reading after FEC. This is reverse terminology from other satellite receivers and test gear.

Before anyone dismisses PSIP data as unreliable and/or incomplete (a popular battle cry for those accustomed to paying for guide service), they should check out the current state of the guide data for their local stations.

On the DVR, the available guide data may not go out very far as most stations only go out to about 64 events per channel.

This can checked with pretty much any modern TV or cheap DTV tuner box.
