Special One-Night CE for 9/15 -- No Weekend CE's

For giggles I tried with my HR20 -700 which won't do CE's , its looking for 04D9 (which dl to it Tuesday morning) gonna wait a bit to try the HR24 - 500

My HR24/500 is still grabbing 04D1..

My MR24-100 was downloading 04D1 then froze at 34% so I rebooted it and now it's downloading 0559

Is there any way to abort an update so that you don't have to wait 15 minutes for the whole process to finish?

Just hit the Red Reset Button and start over.

Just reboot it again without entering the code, and it'll boot normally. Up until it gets to 96%, it is just downloading and you won't hurt anything. At 96%, the dark blue bar indicates it is erasing the EEPROM, and the bar turning back to gray indicates it is writing the new firmware in. That's where you could brick the receiver if you kill the power or reset it.

Locked at 1 percent. Hit the reset and it went from 04D1 to 0559.

I am downloading 0559 to my HR24-500 now. the download started out as 04D1, but then changed to 0559.

My HR24-100 has been stuck on 13% Complete of downloading 04D1 for about 5 minutes now..

..and as I was typing that the download switched to software 0559. Patience....

I think the new software was just getting sent out to your area is why the freeze up on a lot of boxes.
