Somebody gave me an unwanted Starchoice dish, model 60E with a quad LNB.

The label on the LNB says:

Dual satellite quad output swithable Ku LNBF
Model name:LM-2738-SC
Left hand side: 0 khz Sat A
Right hand side: 22 Khz Sat B
Input Frequency: 11.7-12.2 Ghz
Output frequency: 950-1450 Mhz Non-Stacked
Linear Polarization
Vertical 10-15 V
Horizontal 16-20 V

Is it any useful with an FTA receiver ? (Captiveworks/Skyview)

Thanks !

yep. they work really good for all the legal FTA up there.

Dish is a little small but should get most of the stronger KU band signals up there.

I use the same Dish. It has 2 eyes so you can aim at 2 satellites. Mine is at Telstar 5 and AMC4. Get lots of channels, some I don't know what they say (foreign stuff) but there is some cool stuff there.

Thanks, it looks like it's maybe usefull, ----assuming that it still works !
I'm planning to try it out with 1 cable, look for strongest satellite (Galaxy, AMC ?)

Now I just need some help with the details:

1)It has 2x2 connection, on left 0 Khz SAT A, right 22 Khz SAT B, which one i use ?

2)Where do I set the LNB frequency on the receiver?

3)22 khz: ON OFF AUTO ?

Thanks!

All 4 ports will do both satellites. To see if it works, try Galaxy 3C at 95 degrees
11780 H 20760 is a very strong transponder (freq, pol, symbol rate)

Setup would be

LNB LO 10750
22k off (if using Sat A) 22k on for Sat B
