True, but the actors changed between the movie and the show.

The question of course is if they reboot the franchise will there be a big debate over everything they change and contradict like when TOS was rebooted?

I'm sure they're hoping for it.....

Yeah, it is refreshing how much activity ONE little post can get. We are definitely junkies. Oh, I miss SG1.

I remember now. Daniel episode. For crying out loud. I need to watch more SG-1.

Never is but with the time difference, for most, cameos aside, little they can do.

I'd love to see it continue within the same universe and leave the door open for past actors to do an appearance. doubt it will happen that way.

I hated the Ori arc when it aired, but am loving it now because I ignored / zoned out when it was on... but now it's new SG-1 pretty much, must ration it.

This points out - more so in the comments - a problem; hard to ignore 15 years of tv and beloved characters. Yes, a reboot, and that is ok, but Kurt Russell and James Spader certainly are NOT the model most fans have in their heads of Jack and Daniel these days. Heck, I barely liked the film the first time I saw it.

But I like the idea that they can do MUCH MORE with technology than they could. So, I will have an open mind and hope for the best.

I also have all 10 seasons and the two movies (Ark of Truth and Continuum) on DVD of SG-1. Haven't opened most of them to watch--but I really miss the show and as a special treat I may start from the beginning here one of these days.
The SG-1 series was do not miss TV--for me at least.
