I was just going through my guide and noticed that Starz Theater has been replaced by a new channel Starz edge.I also noticed changes in the guide. All of the Starz and Encore channels appear to be listed a little different.

Sort of... from the dish channel chart changes today:

347 was just plain WAM, now Encore WAM (EPG Change from WAM to EWAM)
350 and 351 remain Starz (EPG Change from STZ-E & STZ-W to STARZ & STRZW)
352 was Starz Theater, now Starz Edge and it no longer repeates the same 4 movies all week (EPG Change from STZTH to SEDGE)
353 and 354 remain Starz Cinema (EPG Change from STZCE & STZCW to SCINE & SCINW)

Starz! Family did become Starz! Kids & Family but only because they merged Starz! Family & Starz! Kids together.

They felt having these two channels was going to/or was creating redundent programing.

Also remember that by merging these channels that you dish network customers can now see shows that was on Starz! kids which dish network did/does not carry.

so the only channel E* does not have is starz comedy, correct? (and also movieplex, but starz doesn't count that in their packs, it's a promo channel)

BFG,

The movieplex is a chanee that rotates daily between all of the Encore Theme channels, so if you have the Encore theme package MoviePlex is redundant.

Actually, it's not even that good - the movies on MP are edited down from R rated - that's one reason why you see some cable systems put it on expanded basic.
