What allows "D" to extend a contract.

Is it ordering a new receiver?

Is it changing programming?

or something else I should be aware of.

Adding equipment extends your commitment. New programming or replacing defective leased equipment doesn't.

Just clarify and thread jack. Direct TV will replace a receiver even if you don't have the PP, right? The advantage to the PP is not paying for shipping?

So they've ended the practice of renewing the 24 month contract renewal on any receiver activation (even a replacement)?

The renewal on RMA receiver activation was pretty well documented here, and I've still seen other threads at the other site about it so I want to double confirm.

This is OLD News.

Personally, if your concerned about it and replacing a unit, talk to them and verify that there is NO commitment to replace a box.

OMG I am going to have to make a chart and stick it to the forum . This is just getting silly does anyone search or read. Can you tell I am having a bad day.
