Hmm, interesting. I'll have to try pointing my dish lower, because I too have the LNB towards the bottom of the dish...

Woohoo! Pointing the dish lower solved my problem! I was able to quickly vector in on the strongest signal using the satellite finder (which was pointing right at the side of my house), and then after removing that from the line I picked up CCTV in all of it's Chinese Language glory! The whole process took about 30 minutes including bringing out the spare TV etc. Thanks to everybody for the help, and I'm looking forward to searching out some more birds just for fun in the next few days.
