STO HD

It is getting close to Baseball time and I would like to be able to watch the Tribe this year.

From what I have read in other threads, STO SD has a real strong signal and I was wondering if STO HD also has a good strong signal.

I was thinking about trying a smaller dish, maybe a 36" until I can get a BUD.

I can barely get STO HD on a 4 footer. On the other hand, STO SD is very nice quality video, and very strong.

even on the 6 footer there is a noticeable difference in quality

STO SD...90+ on Pansat
STO HD...60 max

4 footer
STO SD...75
STO HD...30-32 which is just above threshold

Thanks for the replies.

I guess I will try for the SD for now and work on getting a BUD for the HD.

Now I need to do some more reading on which C-band LNB to get for this project.

yes they do. And the ones that are on the local Cleveland OTA station (WKYC...usually Sunday games) are usually simulcasted on STO too
