I have an install date a month out, and worrying that I may not have LOS for directv's satellites. I have an Eastern pointing dish for HD from Dish Network and a SW pointing dish for all other channels from Dish.

I have a lot of trees out about 65-80 feet from location of SW pointing satellite dish, some at least 69 feet tall.

Question is, if my Dish Network dish facing SW is able to get a good signal, would this be near the same (height, arc, etc) as the Directv satellites?

Thanks for any help.

Installer can figure out from where to mount the dish.

I bet you're fine. If you want to look into a little more press Menu 6,1,1 on your dish remote and see which SW sat your pointing at (110,119, or 129).

Then head over to dishpointer.com and see what they list for elevation at your location for that sat.

You can then switch to the directv dish you will be using and if the elevation is higher or the same you shouldn't have an issue.
