SXM still giving discounts

I don't think I'll go back this time. I'm tired of the games.
I said the same thing many years back. They snail mailed me an offer I couldn't refuse. $99 total for 3 years, all levels, auto and stream. The service will not renew, guaranteed and will just end at the end of those 3 years. Yes I have it in writing.

Yeah, that would be tough to turn down.

I got an email from Ford reminding me that me FordPass Rewards points would be expiring in January. Since I don't have a Ford anymore, I was willing to let that happen, since I figured what could I use them for.

I logged into my account, come to find out I have 34,000+ points from getting service on my old Ford Escape and also when Foxbat, Jr.'s Mercury Milan had its transmission bleed out. Okay, cool, but again, not like I need a Motorcraft battery for my Volvo. But then I see I can turn 30,000 Ford Pass Points into $150 worth of SiriusXM Credit!

I mention that here since I had no idea this was something I had available. I'm not sure if other Owner Rewards programs might offer similar benefits.

While I was at it, I added the Volvo for $3.99/mo. for the All Access plan since I had received the mailer with QR Code. It was pretty easy to get that for a year.

I got the $5/mo offer in the mail today. The same thing I was willing to pay when I cancelled and they refused to honor last month. I think I'm done playing the annual begging thing. I've been an (((XM))) customer for 30 rears. The annual renewal game is tiring. I think I'm out. Enough is enough.

I wonder how that works, seeing the Ford Pass is Ford related and you don't really renew your Sirius Xm thru a dealer ....

My SXM will be up in Feb and I do have a lot of Ford Pass points as well.

Apparently, a lot of the Call In for renewal roulette, may be over, many of us have gotten told that we don't need to Call or Chat in when the time comes as they already have a deal set up for us (same as last year is good with me).

I think thats those on the Advantage plan, I believe it was ... I'm sure they could do that with any subs if they wanted to.

I'm actually going to try it and see what happens and How it happens ...
They typically sent me an email in Dec showing what my rates will be for the next year ...
Hopefully its the same or better.

The Ford Pass rewards creates a Code that you use over on the SiriusXM site to redeem for a credit to your account.

Interesting ... I'll have to look into that.
Well, I 'looked into the paying SiriusXm with Ford Pass Points ...

Sirius XM website says to check with Ford, after inquiring further, SXM says No you can't thru them.

Checking Fords website, I didn't see anything (but it is Quite large)

A quick check on Google says:

No, you cannot pay your SiriusXM bill on the Ford website. SiriusXM subscriptions are billed and managed directly through SiriusXM or the third-party retailer you originally purchased the subscription from (e.g., Apple, Google Play).

So, if you guys have a way and want to share it, I will try in Feb when I'm due again ... I currently have almost 20,000 points

I may swing by the Ford dealer today and inquire from them.

Jimbo, when you're logged into your Ford Pass account, click on the "Redeem Points" button. That should show you a number of options, with the SiriusXM being one of them.

Click on that and you should get this page:

As you can see, if you don't have at least 10,000 points, you can't claim this offer. After cashing in 30,000 points, I'll have to wait until I get a car serviced at my Ford dealership or buy something through the Ford Parts website.

Good luck!
