Hi all, I've been on the road for a couple weeks and have not had T4 on for some time. Has T4's Nebraska channels changed again to different sat.? I tryed re hit along with moving the dish a few clicks back and forth with no help. What am I missing here?? Thanks Jim

Yes, still in the same spot, T4-600's working fine here. Are you receiving other satellites ok?

I went looking for those channels a couple of days ago and couldn't get the to lock at all on my 7.5 footer.. I was starting to think that they had gone off of DCII.

EDIT: I just realized something. I may have T4 on the wrong polarity.. I had done some playing around a few weeks back and I reprogrammed T4 on to a wrong bird.. I'll have to tinker with the polarity to see if I can get the channels to lock. They ARE still on DCII, right?

Working here, Quality is way down though, 56 not normal, probably why you guys with smaller dishes are showing nothing.

Hmmmmmm??????????

Welllll, thanks ya all. I'll keep puttin around with the 7.5 dish. Never had a problem before with T4. I just may go up on the roof soon to tune up the old girl anyway before winter. Even though 7.5 dish I all ways got all the birds in great. Jim

The reason I put up a 12 foot dish back in the day was to have the extra signal when the uplink don't saturate the transponder for one reason or another, or the satellite weakens. Bigger is always better. :D Someday I need to put up a 10 foot ku dish. These mickey mouse dishes I'm using for ku just don't cut it always. :)

Just a couple of days ago I was looking at what it would take to mount a C/Ku feed on to my big dish. I have a Polorotor II (I think that's what it is called) It has a C and Ku feed on it. The only issue I have with it is that the little blue polarity motor is shot. I'd have to try find one..

The Nebraska stations have always been just borderline for me. The always required fine adjustment to get them to stay viewable without breaking up. If they've lowered their power, then that explains why I can't even get them to lock.. Oh well.. I've got AMC21 on Ku to give me Montana PBS.

Servo motors should be easy to find. I would like to do a 10 foot solid maybe an offset for ku that would be killer.

The T4 channels are normally about 74Q on my 12 foot. When I checked yesterday it was showing me 56 and I couldn't get any more with tweaking etc. It's not on my end because everything across the arc is normal so there running at reduced power at the uplink I would bet.

If I would have to guess... there getting ready to pull the plug on those since there in DVB now.

Davage, I have an extra Polarotor motor (working) I don't need. Be glad to mail it to you no charge. Please explain the process of PM ( I assume means private message?) on the forum. I have never quite understood how it works.

I tried to program T4 (now G28) tonight but couldn't find NETV on DCII or FTA. I know I had it a couple of weeks ago but not now.

Showed me only 54 quality on my 12 foot last night on DC (didn't check DVB), it's way down. Unless you have a very good tuned 10 foot or larger your going to have problems getting it now. A 10 may even be on the border since 35-40 is digital cliff on a 922.

Maybe they forgot to pay their electric bill? I can lock the Pentagon Channel as well as the encrypted AFN channels but nothing for NETV. DCII shows a signal quality of 1 on all NETV DCII channels and 0 quality on DVB. I tried fiddling with AZ/POL to no avail. Oh well, I get NETV OTA so it's no great loss but it's always nice to have an alternate "feed". :)

I checked DC-2 just now 56 quality. I checked my DVB's I had in the Pansat, no signal. I did a blind scan of the bird also and they were not found. So thats play by play up to the minute. :)

Both are weak here on a 7 1/2 foot dish. DC2 is Quality 37 with some tiling. DVB is only 5.5 dB with some freezing. Only 3 channels in that mux now.

I did some tweaking of my settings and did a DVB rescan with scrambled channels included and ended up with these numbers (see pictures) both solid.
