Well folks, I am happy to say that the Eastern Arc LIVES. :)

Got some snaps of the new Dish and LNB and well as the 722k, 222k, two way remote control, UHF to IR converter (for TV 2) and other things.

Tomorrow is Dish Networks General assembly. It starts at 9:30am ET. Stay tuned to SatelliteGuys for details of the assembly after it is finished.

For now here are some photos to make you go hmm. :)

I'm sure they were already printed before the shakeup, but I can't believe they didn't at least put some duct tape over the VOOM logos or something. :D

That wouldn't be FX & Speed logos on that bottom group, would it?!?

Things that make ya go "Hmmm" :D

The Cam & Rod adjustment for peaking the dish is cool !

The Learning Remote is also cool !

The VOOM logo is funny ! :D

Ha - even DiSH themselves matrix the remote input and the RF output. ;)

I assume the " k " receivers' only difference is the return of "modular" design for the tuner...

Unless that is not a standard splitter, it would look like they don't have the TV2 backfeed correct. OUT port to OUT port has RF Isolation on most splitters so that wouldn't work unless that is a component designed as such.

Scott, can we get a close-up of that splitter on the TV2 OUT port?

From the back, that EA dish looks like a slimline. Basically this is going to be a 500+ size dish it seems like. Hope it doesn't require strut arms.

I'm so glad they created a real solution for the TV 2 remote issues. Can we also get a close up of the rear of the 722k's ethernet jack? They would have been smart to build a wifi adapter into this box. There's so many open networks that DISH would unwittingly get two-way connectivity even if the subscriber didn't have a wifi network in many cases.

I'm going to have to charge more to install this stuff.

My bet --- k receivers = cheaper with all black mechanical as was rumored to be the case with the 211k.

That two way remote looks good. Sounds useful. Also, TV2 IR, this will be a niche hit.

Am I the only one getting "Invalid Attachment" except for the first pic.

Ok just tried again with IE, worked fine in IE....took me a few mins to revive IE to try it.

WTF!

dfergie, I can't believe it. I remember many months ago when a charlie chat was so bad I suggested in the chatroom that you should come up with such an avatar. Got a higher rez version of it somewhere, that's a classic.

They've definitely got it backwards.

Wow look at the description of the VIP722k DVR. Last bullet on the board says that you can "Ethernet connectivity for access to DishONLINE and online DVR Scheduling".

Must be one of the "soon" features.

Can you get a close up picture of the new remotes?

I'm interested in seeing the bottom row of buttons. It looks like it might be so that you can create a matrix of signals (ie so you can turn on closed captioning by pressing one button). There are some other interesting buttons (the row of multiple colors?) on there too.
