Hello,
What are the normal signals&quality I should be getting on KU/DVB Telstar 6?

I'm having problems with the two transponders, that I really want the most, figures.
ABC NEWS NOW 12043
ABC NEWS ONE 12053

This is what I get,
11865 ,V, 3516 Signal 84 Quality 90 University Network
12043 ,V, 3979 Signal 80 Quality 58-60 blocky unstable picture, low audio!
12053 ,V, 3979 Signal 82 Quality 44-50 stable picture, low audio!
12076 ,V, 8741 Signal 81 Quality 75 Azteca
12175 ,V, 5147 Signal 79 Quality 72 Lord & Taylor

Set the dish up today, it's a cloudy day with no rain. But were forecasted for rain this afternoon. I'm in Mercer County, New Jersey, zip is 08611.

I'm using products from Daveswebshop
WineGard DS-2076 76 cm Dish. The Lower half of the feed clamp is all the way "IN".
.5 LNBF Ku MPEG-2 Digital Ready. The LNBF is adjusted all the way back, like it shows on Sadoun's website.
Receiver, Pansat 2500a
less then 15' of cable RG6

Thanks
Paul

Here in MN.

I get ABC News now at 80+% Signal quality

ABC New One at 70+% Signal quality.

36" dish and Invacom 0.3dB QPH-031 LNBF

Maybe try adjusting the skew (rotate LNBF in its holder) on your low quality signals.

Hello PSB,

You get a very good signal. :)

Things I already done, checked pole for level, messed around with elevation/azimuth/skew on these two weak transponders. I didn't get to much more, as I was in a hurry wanted to beat the rain.

I will try the skew again to see if I can get more of a Signal Quality out of those two. Will have to wait, as it is starting to drizzle here now.
Just wanted to check to see how far I'm off signal wise.

ABC News Now always has a "blocky" picture. That is caused by unknown issues on their end. I don't think those signal numbers are that bad with your setup.

W Tracy Parnell,

Thanks for letting me know, I was just outside the sun came out, so I tweaked the LNBF in the holder, ABC News Now it's still "blocky" but now I know why. Thank you. :)

This is what I changed from above in my first post.

-What stayed the same. The Lower half of the feed clamp is all the way "IN".

-What I changed
The LNBF is half way in the middle of the holder.
My skew was 20, now it 's 25, which is also changed in the LNB setup in Pansat.

This is what I get now, it's a little better.

11865 ,V, 3516 Signal 84 Quality 90 University Network
12043 ,V, 3979 Signal 81 Quality 60-74 still blocky unstable picture, low audio!
12053 ,V, 3979 Signal 82 Quality 45-60 stable picture, low audio!
12076 ,V, 8741 Signal 81 Quality 87+ Azteca
12175 ,V, 5147 Signal 80 Quality 75 Lord & Taylor

UPDATE:
ABC NEWS NOW "Quality" went up, 12043 Signal 81 Quality 90. What a wacky transponder. :D
