The definition of "Voom"

I thought it was interesting that Wikipedia (free online encyclopedia) actually had a good (and current) definition of Voom, including a brief history that maybe some of the members on this site may have contributed?

Trillian uses the wikipedia, I find myself reading all the linked words when I'm chatting on AIM, MSN, or Yahoo. I find it interesting the wide ranges of definitions, it's quite informative ;)
