As an unexpected bonus, apparently the entire WWDC series of presentations and a number of sessions are going to be broadcast live on the WWDC App. I'm watching the Platforms State of the Union right now. Tomorrow will be sessions on "What's New in..." covering Xcode, Swift, Cocoa, Metal, WatchKit, etc.

Has Google or Microsoft done the same for their Developer Conferences?

Have not heard or seen anything yet with either Google or Microsoft with WWDC I would think you could watch them. But Google just had their big event a week or so ago Google I/O 2015 which you can watch here just in case you missed it.. https://events.google.com/io2015/ Microsoft had their Build 2015 show as well close to the same time frame as well. http://www.buildwindows.com/ http://channel9.msdn.com/events/build/2015?wt.mc_id=build_hp
If see or hear anything dealing with either of them on WWDC I will post the info here for sure.. :)

Poke, I wasn't referring to the public Keynote, I was talking about the actual WWDC Session Videos. For example, Wednesday's Schedule is:
  • WatchKit In-Depth, Part 1
  • Using Safari to Deliver and Debug a Responsive Web Design
  • App Thinning in Xcode
  • Achieving All-day Battery Life
  • Authoring Rich Playgrounds
  • What's New in SpriteKit
  • Debugging Energy Issues
  • WatchKit In-Depth, Part 2
  • UI Testing in Xcode
  • Introducing Search APIs
  • Creating Complications with ClockKit
  • What's New in iTunes Connect
  • Implementing UI Designs in Interface Builder
  • Getting the Most out of App Analytics
  • What's New in HomeKit
  • Going Social with ReplayKit and GameCenter
  • Designing for Future Hardware
  • Multitasking Essentials for Media-Based Apps on iPad in iOS 9
  • Enhancements to SceneKit
  • Protocol-Oriented Programming in Swift
  • CloudKit JS and Web Services
  • Editing Movies in AV Foundation
  • iTunes Connect: Development to Distribution
  • Optimizing Your App for Multitasking on iPad in iOS 9
  • Designing for Apple Watch
  • Introducing On Demand Resources
  • What's New in Core Audio
  • Building Apps with ResearchKit
These are all viewable after the fact through the AppleTV WWDC App. There are 27 sessions available from Tuesday. Monday's repeats include "Platforms State of the Union" and the "Apple Design Awards".

It was this extra level of access to the WWDC Sessions that I was referring to. I was curious if Google or Microsoft have published videos of their detailed sessions.

All Microsoft Build conference sessions are available on-line.
http://channel9.msdn.com/events/build/2015?wt.mc_id=build_hp

Which is important, because even when you are at the conference you can't possibly attend all what you want: too many sessions going in parallel and some most interesting sessions can get full at times.

Only Keynotes are broadcast live, but all sessions are being recorded and are usually published a day or two later.
