OK, if a Mount Rushmore were to be erected for your sports franchises...who would be on them? Highly personal and subjective...not looking to spark a debate, just to give everyone a chance to voice their opinion.

PLEASE limit to four...I could have named 50 more Yankees!

For me it is this...

Yankees - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Dimaggio, Mickey Mantle

Jets - Joe Namath, Freeman McNeil, Curtis Martin, Don Maynard

Knicks - Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, Bill Bradley, Dave Debusschere

Rangers - Mark Messier, Adam Graves, Brian Leetch, Harry Howell

Ohio State - Archie Griffin, Eddie George, Randy Gradishar, Chris Spielman

St John's - Dick McGuire, Chris Mullin, Walter Berry, Reggie Carter

WOW.... good one...

hmmmm....

Raiders: Marcus Allen, Dave Casper, Ken Stabler and Al Davis.

Marlins: Mike Lowell, Jeff Conine, Cliff Floyd, Miguel Cabrera

Syracuse Orangemen Basketball: Derrick Coleman, Dwayne "Pearl" Washington, Rony Seikley and Sherman Douglas

Miami Hurricanes football: WOW... the toughest of all.... Warren Sapp, Michael Irving, Bernie Kosar and Howard Schnellenberger.

Miami Heat: Dwayne Wade, Udonis Haslem, Rony Seikley and Alonzo Mourning.

I did not follow hockey, but I did like the Chicago Blackhawks of the 90s: Eddie Belfour, Chris Chelios, , Jeremy Roenick and Tony Amonte...

And finally, as a young kid, I use to LOVE the Philadelphia 76ers: My mount Rushmore there would have been: Julius Erving, Bobby Jones, Andrew Toney and World Be Free.

EDIT: Changed my mind on 2 'Canes...I KNEW that would be the hardest.

The Marlins are tough because of so little history. I thought about Kelly for the 'Canes... but I swear to you he did not catch my attention until he played in the USFL.

Celtics- Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, John Havlicek

Red Sox- Ted Williams, Carl Yastremski, Cy Young, Jimmie Foxx

Bruins- Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Milt Schmidt, Johnny Bucyk

Patriots- Tom Brady, John Hannah, Bill Belichick, Andre Tippett

Dodgers: Robinson, Koufax, Drysdale, Snyder, Lasorda

They have so many because of their long history and even ones that I would include that are not HOF, like Fernando and Garvey. I went with five (4 wasn't enough) that represent the faces of the franchise.

Red Sox- Ted Williams, Carl Yastremski, Cy Young, Jimmie Foxx

Bruins- Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Milt Schmidt, Johnny Bucyk

Patriots- Tom Brady, John Hannah, Bill Belichick, Andre Tippett

Celtics- I agree

Red Sox - I would remove Yaz, and put on David Ortiz

Bruins - I agree

Patriots- As much as I love Tippett, I would go with Adam Vinatieri

Florida Gators Football- Tim Tebow, Danny Wuerffel, Emmitt Smith, Steve Spurrier

Florida Gators Basketball- Billy Donovan, Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Udonis Haslem

Boston Red Sox: Jerry Adair, Rick Burleson, Dave Roberts, Tim Wakefield.

Four most indespensible teammates from a franchise whose motto was, "25 guys, 25 cabs".

"They have a name for the winners of the world.

I wanna name when I lose..."

- Steeley Dan

Detroit Tigers - Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Hank Greenberg, Charlie Gehringer

I was actually thinking of putting Papi or Pedro Martinez over Foxx in the 4th spot.

Adam and Leave is a great choice for the Pats, and I also considered Stanley Morgan and Sam Cunningham.
