The Road to Super Bowl XLV: The 2010-11 NFL Playoffs

My point is, is that the Steelers pretty much blew it.

Agreed. If he did not throw those picks, it would have been a very different game. Yeah, Rodgers played well when he needed to, but I still think the Packers are over-rated. I so wish the damn Bears showed up to play on week 17.

Considering the US population has increased by 27% 1983 to 2011 (from 233 million in 1983 to 308 million) in 2010, the final show of MASH still has the largest percentage of the population having watched it. 47% in 1983, versus 36% watching the Super Bowl in 2011.

The 111M figure quoted is the average number of viewers over the entire game. The number of viewers that watched at least part of the game is listed at 163M....

if the packers wr's wouldn't have dropped so many balls and two of them being potential touchdowns it would've been a different game......

Exactly Rey.

We can make what-ifs all day long on both sides of the ball. The fact of the matter is that the Packers won fair and square. They are the better team because the final score proved so.

There are lots of IF'S: If the Giants didn't blow that big lead late in the season to the Eagles, the Packers most likely would have been out of the playoffs... ;)

And if the Jets would have played two halves of football against Pittsburgh instead of just one, we could all still be listening to Rex Ryan. But if's don't count...only results do.

And if Chansi Stuckey (Browns) doesn't drop the ball in overtime against the Jets, the Browns may have been riding so high after back-to-back-to-back wins against the Pats, Saints and Jets, they may have never looked back and swept the rest of the season en-route to an AFC North title, thus disallowing Pittsburgh to ever go to the playoffs to begin with.

What if?????

Yeah, this is a perfect illustration of how this type of thing can be taken to the ridiculously absurd.

Ummm, Pittsburgh was in regardless, had the lost another game, they would have taken the spot the Ravens did.
Btw, the Jets were lucky to hang on and beat the Steelers at the end of the year, easily could have went the other way ... remember, Steelers were inside the Jets 10 yard line as time expired ... so, you could take away a Jets win, seeing your trying to do the sme with the Steelers

HD is just joking. Everyone knows the game is played on the field, and the beauty of sports is one team wins and one loses...period.

Also know HD would die if the Steelers win ANOTHER SB TITLE ;-)

Bleh. The city is still standing after what Lebron did to them. The Steelers are very much secondary.

Sandra

Not in HD's world ... anything good for. The Steelers is bad for him.
He's the epitomy of a Steeler hater.
