Thinking of canceling dish

When you call to cancel they will let you know what has to be returned.

You're probably better off ignoring whatever they tell you over the phone. The last two times I had to replace a receiver, they gave me the wrong information about whether or not it needed to be returned.

If they say the LNB or remote has to be no sense in arguing, just don't return those as DISH will not expect them if you can't easily get them.

Getting the remote thrown in the box shouldn't be that much of a reach. Do remove the batteries though.

I would think so as well, but they may be phased out in the near future for HD receivers so who's to say.

As long as they're still installing SD, they'll need the equipment in the system. I doubt they've manufactured any new SD receivers in quite some time.

How long does it take for dish to send out the boxes? To send back the equipment? It's going on 3 weeks now since I cancelled.

I had mine in under a week.
