This is a long shot...King quest vq4100

This is unlikely, but has anyone opened up a King Quest VQ4100?
There's a malfunctioning one on CL for $50 and I'm wondering if it would be fun to tinker with to try to turn it into a FTA, motorized dish (but would require changing out the dish and LNB)

I'm assuming that there's at least one motor(on a gimbal mount?) used to track or otherwise acquire the signal from a satellite and that the motor could be reconnected to an FTA receiver...anyone know?

Don't waste your money bud work on something bigger dish wise. Those are meant for dish Network.

There will be no fun in that for FTA. Just lots of frustration and then you realize you wasted $50.
