vurbano, the worst part of all this crap is that the Portland area stations all banded together to sell their "excess" bandwidth to that stupid new startup UDTV or whatever they're called. Excess bandwidth? Excuse me? Our CBS engineer claims they are all getting new encoding equipment which will allow ~ 12 mbps transmission with no discernible difference from 19 mbps and they are selling off the extra. I hope they're right and also kill the subchannel if they do this.
