Couple of years back, I remember almost buying a Viewsonic converter or tuner at Fry's.
It would up-convert regular video (or was it analog TV?) to directly match the pixels on 1280x1024 LCD screens.
This must be the highest end of the line.
A search with Google brought up several reviews (favorable), so if you need an HD tuner, I guess it's okay.
Details on the program guide were sketchy, but my existing HD TV only tells me what is on now, on the channel I'm watching, so the Viewsonic couldn't be worse.
Looks like it's a $400 unit, and since you can buy a 32" HD TV with tuner for that, you've got to realize this thing can't sustain much of a value.
The Dish Network
ATSC PVR is only $250, by comparison.
So, that sets a price cap, right there.
