HI Does anyone know haw long it takes for the signal to reach the lnb? How slow should you move the dish to try to line it up? Thanks Gary

The signal travels at 186,000 miles a second. You don't need to wait very long. The real issue is how fast the signal strength meter indicates a change. I don't know the actual answer but I believe it is less than a quarter of a second (250 msecs).
 
Even when in the "Point Dish" screen, it takes a few seconds when switching transponders. I'd move the dish, then wait maybe 5 seconds, then repeat.
