I've had two D*TV installs. After dismissing the first team sent to my house for incompetence, I tipped the guy they sent after that $20 (he did a very professional job, which I only realized later or I would have tipped him double that), and the second guy (when I upgraded to HD and added an additional SD receiver) $40 because he did me a favor and ran some extra cable up to my attic for my OTA antenna.
My freinds characterize me as a "frugal" to put it politely, because of my scrutiny when it comes to evaluating purchases (value and quality in relationship to price for most purchases), but when it comes to service, I'm a softee.
