All in the negative
Comcast-419,000
Verizon Fios-80,000
Dish-191,000
Charter-144,000

So, already minus 834,000 in the 4th Quarter.

So with the quarterly tradition of DirecTV losing 400,000-500,000, so at least a loss of 1.234 Million.

With that, we have a loss over 6 Million in 2022 for Traditional Live TV Providers.

Meanwhile streaming has issues too

And DirecTV has lost $50 Billion in value, AT&T bought it for $67 Billion including debt, when they did the TPG deal, it was valued at $15 Billion.

Also has lost almost 2 Million subscribers since the TPG deal, 15.1 Million 2nd quarter 2021 ( including Uverse and Stream), down to 13.3 Million, reported 3rd quarter 2022.

Streaming will make money, Netflix is a example of that, AT&T/DirecTV will never get the billions back it has lost.

How many threads do we need on the same issue?
How many times do you have to keep posting that streaming does not make money?

Netflix is making great profits after losing for awhile, same will happen for others, some it will not.

I deleted my post...enough of the same old threads about the same old issue...just getting old

Which translates to- no matter how much streaming has lost , DirecTV has exceeded that by at least $40 Billion dollars.

The next time streaming lack of profits for now is brought up, I will bring up that it does not compare to DirecTV/AT&T’s losses.

When companies lose customers..employees get laid off...nothing to get giddy about especially since streaming companies are not making a profit...netflix laid off plenty last year..as did Disney too..nothing to celebrate on either side of since both sides are shedding employees..we are transitioning and the future is very very murky for streaming..

Just cannot stop yourself from posting this kind of ****, all you are doing is putting down streaming without comparing to how bad it is for Traditional Live TV Providers, 6 Million subscribers down in 2022.

100 Million Household Subs in 2014 ( no Live TV over the internet then), now 54 Million ( the other 14 million get Live TV via the net).

Even if the rate of losses do not increase ( and they will), that means at 6 million losses a year, they all will be gone in 9 years, but many will be unprofitable well before then.

That is not murky, that is the lights are off and it is 2 in the morning dark.

You don't get it...hundreds of people connected to directv visit these forums..to open 4 or 5 threads aday on the demise of directv is very disrespectful...you have every right to comment about streaming destroying directv..but by opening so many threads you are rubbing people noses in it

If this is your new pivot away from topic discussion you have lost, it is just lame.

What is next when you lose at a discussion about Cord Cutting, jokes about somebody’s mother?
