FIOS feels a little misleading though. aren't they not taking new customers and/or pushing existing customers
70,000 still left, regardless if they are no longer offering the service to new customers.

Charter/Spectrum lost 70,000 TV Subscribers

Spectrum losing 109k internet subs is the double whammy. Cord cutting 2.0 is here, 5G is a great alternative to cable internet.

Yes it is, just like before, with Television subscribers, Providers choose to ignore Cord Cutting when it started in 2011, then it was too late, the numbers of those leaving, have increased every year, a trend that has continued to this year, expected loss of 6-8 Million.

They choose to ignore a number of new services, 5G, Fiber, Starlink, etc.

Then Cable Providers delayed much needed upgrades to their systems, fiber providers decided to go into overdrive on their build outs, much like how streaming destroyed their TV Services, Fiber is really eating into their business.

In a stark illustration of the American people shifting away from traditional cable services, Comcast and Charter Communications, the parent company of Spectrum, are shedding thousands of customers daily across their core TV and internet offerings. Industry data reveals that the two providers are collectively losing more than 3,554 television subscribers and over 2,315 broadband customers every single day in the 3rd quater of 2025.

FIOS feels a little misleading though. aren't they not taking new customers and/or pushing existing customers to YTTV?
My in-Laws were Frontier (née Verizon) FIOS TV customers for ages. Their FIOS bill for TV, telephone, and 25 Mbps Internet had risen to $360/mo. before we could convince them that the DVR and TV wasn't worth it. They dropped the TV and telephone, now it's $50/mo. for 500 Mbps Internet and OTA with LG Channels for TV.

So, yeah, FIOS TV from Frontier has priced themselves out of the market.
