Traxis 4550 parts???

HI all --

My tuner burned out today on my Traxis 4550. It was not working, I opened up the case, and smoke was coming from the tuner. The unit boots up fine if I take the tuner out, so I'm guessing its the tuner module.

Anyway, does anyone know where I might get a replacement. I'm hoping not to have to buy the whole reciever again.

Maybe someone has a broken Traxis box that they want to offload cheap????

I'd send DMS an email. How old is it? I haven't been in this long but I've never heard of a tuner SMOKING. DMS guys might want to have a look at it, and they might fix it for you at a nominal cost.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

...and yes, the tuner really was smoking. It smelled like burnt solder and a fine white smoke was coming from it......
