OK, I am trying to get my true south sat.. My LONG is 75.84584.. NOAA says my declination is 11° 42W, if I am pointing to true south, I should be aiming/pointing the compass at 180°, Yes.. or with Magnetic Declination, I should be pointing at 168.6° or 191.4° ??

What should I truly be pointing at, trying to figure it all out..

Thanks for the assistance
Rick

Give your zip, I will run the data

True south is not 180 on compass, but rather 180 - magnetic declination.

Thats the problem "Satfinder" seems to give the wrong declination +/-

Its says -12.29 deg Mag. Decl.

That was why I was confused, but seeing that chart from Sadoun's helped bridge the gap.. Need to bookmark that!! Great find Pete.
