trying to enter universal codes in blue remote

I can't find my manual... and I'm trying to setup my blue remote for a Zenith TV.

This much I figured out.... I hold down the TV button until it flashes... I then put in one of the coes.... THEN WHAT?

I found online that codes for Zenith TVs are 501, 652, 672, 675 and 693...
