GEOSATpro Trying to fix reboot issue with cable

While on vacation the cable came to fix the re boot problem with my Micro. I went thru the instructions I found on line and I'm stuck. My computer is now at Download file PC to STB..I get an error saying com port not found..I'm not a computer wiz in any way so anyone that can guide me thru I'd appreciate it. It's defaulting to Com1 if that helps. I've got the ABS file and the Ali editor. Thanks

You need to identify what port the USB converter cable is plugged into then assign the communication in ALI Editor to that port.

Do not load an .abs file. Load a .udf file.

Have you read through the .udf update FAQ post? If you have any specific questions, please ask.

I was having the same problem a while back and if I recall correctly, I went to the system folder where it shows the disks and monitors and etc and clicking on ports showed me which port the cable was on. then I used that port and everything worked well. charlie
