tv's that put off signal to disturb dish remote

There isn't a specific list of TV's that cause the interference issue. The main cause is Energy Saving LCD TV's, but LCD's in general cause the interference issue. You can always change the remote to a UHF to bypass that specific problem.

Or, he can turn off the auto back-lighting feature which is usually the cause.

The only brand of TV I have had an issue with has been Vizio. I have changed out the remotes for them and no problems after that. Does anyone know how to go into the tv menu and disable that feature. I haven't been able to find it.

After you change out remotes, go to "system info" and do the hold, #, and record thing, then you need to unplug the receiver to reset. It will then reset to work on the new remote with no slow guide issue.
