Well folks, Uncle Gordy is imbibing again and enjoying the fun of movies and music!

The other day I went to the site of IMDB and researched the top movies from the past decades back to 1930. I must say that the BEST movies ever were created during the 40's, 50's and the early 60's. After then, they aren't so classic anymore.

Don't get me wrong. There are still good movies to view from the more recent decades, but they just don't hold a candle to those which were created earlier!

For example..

I just love Clint Eastwood! We used to hold parties to watch his movies, they lasted for days (the whole weekend) and we weren't finished!

One of my top favorites is this one... I could watch this movie over, and over, and over again and I continue to do so! I bet I've seen it a couple hundred times and I still like to watch it!

Is there a way to link to YouTube without the server putting in that obnoxious, irritating applet thing that replaces the link with a window for YouTube inside the SatelliteGuys webpage?

Guess someone thinks that is a cool feature, But to me, that is just about as odious as frames-from-hell.

check this one:

Hi Gordy,
Check this one out. I am going to see Uncle Floyd perform tonight at our clubhouse. He is a legend here in New Jersey and will be doing a version of the “Gong Show”. And Tiny Tim passed on so he must be singing with the angel’s.

Harry,

Other than cutting the "http://www" part out of the address, which destroys the easy link, I don't think there is a way here on this site, currently. When I forget to omit that portion, then it automatically inserts the "window" to youtube which screws with a lot of people depending upon their internet service capabilities.

Personally, I like that "perk" but if it screws up others, then I do feel bad for putting it up there. Some lose out, some enjoy it... one way or the other, regardless.

Mike,

Oh My! Hey, I remember Tiny Tim from years and years ago (Tip Toe Through the Tulips). But, I never really could or wanted to identify with him. I wasn't sure if he was spoofing (like Weird Al Yankovich) or if he was really that strange! LOL

He was certainly unique, that is for sure!

I certainly remember the "Gong Show"! Chuck Barris and the.... what did they call the guy with the brown shopping bag over his head? The "something" Comedian?... Unknown???? That was a weird show.
