While talking to a friend, I discovered he had 3 of the old Uniden UST300 dish positioners. I ended up with all three, but it's been so long since I used them, I can't remember how to clear the memory and start over programming the positions. I know this is a long shot, but would anyone in here have a users manual for one of these lying around? I'd be glad to give a few $$$ for a copy.

I've searched all over the internet and cannot get a hit of any kind on them.

I picked up one of these myself a few years back but it had no remote and no manual. Like you, I searched the net but came up empty. If you manage to find a source for a manual/remote for these please post. I will do the same. Good luck! :)

I didn't get remotes with these either, but the guy that had them may have the remotes. If he has two of them, I'll let you know and I'll be glad to send you one. Not sure if he has the manuals or not, but I'll share them if he does. I know how hard it is to get all the goodies for the older stuff. I sold a ton of these while I was in business, but never figured I'd need them again. That's the way it goes, first your money, then you're clothes. :)

I found this link, but whom ever this is wants a ridiculous price for the remote. UNIDEN UST300R UST300R Genuine OEM Original Remote

Thanks! That would be great! Happy to pay any shipping costs, etc if he has them. :) Ouch! The one from remotes dot com is likely staying there at that price! :D

I'll check with the guy I got the boxes off of tomorrow and let you know if he has them. As for the other guy, he thinks highly of the one he has LOL

Is there a gpu reset button? Sometimes on the bottom of the receiver. Other uniden receivers have them on back

Update: Did a little digging on the website I sent you and found this. UNIDEN UST300R UST300R Custom Built Redi Remote and they also show referbished remotes UNIDEN UST300R UST300R Refurbished Genuine OEM Substitute Remote Price a little better, but the custom build remotes are more appealing. I'm going to order one to see how it works. I'll let you know.

Sounds good! Looking forward to the results! :)

I had to reorder the remotes. When I ordered them the first time, they were out of stock. This time I ordered a "Custom Built Redi Remote" and a Genuine OEM Original Remote (refurbished). I must have got the only OEM remote they had because it says no longer available, but the Redi Remotes are still listed. I'm guessing the Redi remotes won't look exactly like the OEM model, but they say it will work. Paid $29.00 each for them + shipping.

It came to $64.80 for both with shipping. As soon as I get them, I'll let you know how well they work. Sorry for the delay. :)

UPDATE: I received the remotes for the Uniden UST-300. Both work great. I now have the unit programmed and working just fine. I am posting a picture of both remotes. One is an original Uniden and one is their custom remote. The custom remote has a slide down door that exposes the buttons for programming the unit. I just looked at their website and apparently I got the last of the original Uniden remotes, but the custom remotes are still available, at least for now.

Just for grins and giggles, I went to their website and entered a quantity of 10 and it went right to the checkout, so they have at least 10 available. I figured at this point in the game, we have to take what we can get. Cheers! :) If you need help programming it, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

No Problem, glad I could be of help. After scouring the internet, I was skeptical of finding these remotes anywhere. I may order another one or two later just in case. Cheers!

Not yet, wife's vehicle needed considerable amount of work (timing belt, water pump, motor mount, etc, etc....) so no funds for my hobby at present. :(

I just went through that with my car. Upstream O2 Sensor, Downstream O2 Sensor, plugs, wires, filters and Throttle Position Sensor. Now, the damned air isn't working. Goes in for that next week. Hope it's not the compressor. I'm afraid to ask what's next.

Yes, there's always something breaking just when you think you're gonna get ahead. Transmission just went out in my truck. I can fix a lot of things but that's not gonna be one of them so no more dish hauling for me for now. :( Wife's air stopped working too at the beginning of summer because of a leak in the system. Lost refrigerant and compressor wouldn't cycle. Did some research and found something called Red Angel. Figured what do I have to lose and took a chance. Added Red Angel and R134a and so far it's been fine. Of course now that I said that... :shh

Earlier this spring my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee transmission went out too . Now dish hauling is out of the question for me. I hate the concerns/responsibilities of owning a new car.

Um, that's good to know, never heard of it, but I'll give it a try. It may work for me too? :angel2 I just put a 12 foot Unimesh on a pole. Set the elevation to 39.63, and tried to set the offset to 45.15 for this area. I could get above it, or below it, but not on the money. This dish doesn't have an offset screw for fine adjustments, just a line of different holes. One hole makes it too high, the other too low by about 2 degrees.

I may have to modify the offset adjustment to make it a screw adjustment. I'm going to play with it a bit and see how much it affects the signal level. May have to break out the ole MIG welder. :eek The dish was free, so I can't complain too much. The screen looks like it just came from the factory, with the exception of one dime size hole that looks like a gravel shot from under the mower and nailed it about 6 inches from the center of the dish. Anywho, I'll find some of that Red Angel and give it a shot. Wish me luck.

I remember reading about another member who had dish with just adjustment holes like that but can't remember what they did about it. Still really lucky to find one in such great shape and shouldn't be too hard to modify. :) As far as the Red Angel goes there are two ways to do it. Easiest and cheapest is the can of refrigerent with Red Angel already in it that you hook to the low side service port, start the car with a/c on and add to the system.

A/C Stop Leak / Aerosol | #00222

Second method requires the small bottle of Red Angel, a can or so of refrigerant, an a/c gauge set, injector and a vacuum pump. More complicated/costly but results may be better. If you buy it directly from Blue Devil Products they will refund your money if it doesn't work (no warranty if you buy elsewhere). Good luck with your dish and the a/c! :)
