Good question. The newest Dish remote is a 54.3 so Dish is still 3.7 away from having a 58.

I use a Harmony universal remote with my Hopper 3. Mine is the Harmony One, dicontinued but they still make a bunch of different remotes.

You will need to turn on IR reception on the Hopper so that it will work. Logitech has pretty much all the commands available in their database to control your Hopper, your TV and any other components you could possibly want to control.
