Update Dish VIP211 receiver

Can my dish VIP211 HD receiver software be updated before activation. By that I mean can in be aligned on 110 ,119 61.5, And the unit turned on to take current updates. I am using a powered SW 64 switch. thanks.

Yes! In fact if the receiver is new it will require a software download before it can be activated.

Yes it is a new receiver, I will hook everything up and try to get the update this weekend. thanks allen
