update scheduling

My 622 seems to always check for updates during my recordings, really screws them up. I s there a way to schedule this for a particular day instead of everyday? I know you can pick the time but I would like to pick only one day a week. Thanks

You can set your preference for updates in the preference menu under updates. I set mine for like 1:00am. I am never up that late . You can NOT set it up for once a week. Name based recording depends on having the full 9 days of guide. When is your receiver trying to update?

Good time for you

Just go in a set for a time that you usually do not record shows. System has to update everyday for the schedule changes.
