Ok, guys, go easy on me. I have Dish and my MIL has Direct TV. She does not have HD and does not have a DVR. It drives me crazy every time I go to visit. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't expect her to switch and have never tried, but this no DVR thing has to go.
She doesn't have any HD TVs and I doubt that she will for some time, but a DVR would sure help her. What would it cost (if anything) to change out her single tuner receivers (she has 2) for a DVR. She has had her Direct account for 3 years.
I know that Dish will upgrade this situation for free, but have no idea about Direct TV. I tried to figure that out from their website and of course here, but didn't really get anywhere.
