I went through DIRT to swap out my Hopper for a new one. I am looking forward to the iPad features and *hopefully*, with the speed bump, that top/bottom of the hour pixellation will go away.

I wish they would do full on 2 Hopper integration, so we could have a 6 tuner, shared timer infrastructure.
 
That's a good question. Does HwS still have the top/bottom hour bug? I bet it does.

Probably based on your credit, payment history, how many freebies you've already gotten and when, whether or not you are in contract, package, how recently you've upgraded your equipment, tech visits, etc. . "Nobody" knows for sure (I'm sure someone at Dish does.)

Best way to see what you qualify for would be to contact DIRT.
