Uplink Activity 5/09/08 6:45 PM EDT 87 changes

yes please. I can see them on my iPhone but can't scroll to the bottom.

Stupid iPhones...

Wow.. 22 HD channels uplinked?? How many channels did 'ole Charlie say he'd give us? 25? How many have we gotten? 3? Hmmm....

EDIT: I guess my laziness got the best of me... didn't read the skip from the TMP 3 to 8... oh well.. all in all... still good to see.

Are these in the "normal" range for National HD? or are they in the Latino package range?

Talon Dancer

Latino. Means they are closer to reality. :)

We can take the high road - assume he has an engineering box, and is just possibly breaking NDA (in which case it really is not our concern)!

I checked my signal strength on 129 on those new transponders and 3 is nonexistent , 7 is 23, and 13 is 48. Some of my other transponders are lower than usual. Is 129 capable of handling these?

On TP 16 61.5 some of them are slates.

To the 129 question... that TP has been active for a long time. There has actually been 3 empty TPs that were active for quite a while.

They just remembered to add them to the Latino HD package this time. What's up with all those temp channels? and they are on both the 5300 and 9400 ranges.
I think people will finally be happy when they turn them on.......say next week. :)

If we combine this with the previous "deletes", we can see they removed the Eastern Arc channels and replaced them with National HD channels.

This would indicate that the decision has been made that AMC-14's loss of 4 transponders means that Eastern Arc CONUS channels have to come from 72.5, and 61.5 transponders have to be used for HD Local Spotbeams, or else National HD channels that are mirrored on 129.

This means that they have decided to make the effect of AMC14 loss to be delay of full Eastern Arc, rather than delay of channels carried by other providers.
