SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 1/3/2009 9:17am - 1 change

Uplink Comparison Range: 01/03/2009 08:22A - 01/03/2009 09:17A

Channel Additions:
8449(50) - KBMTD [MPEG2 SD] added to EchoStar10 110W TP 12 Spotbeam 16(SE TX) (A) (H)(Beaumont, TX)

Channels in the system: 5953
(A) = Available to subscribers
(NA) = Not Available
(H) = Hidden from non-subscribers

Does this mean that NBC from KBMT channel 12.2 will now be on channel 50 and in HIGH DEF? How about the guide data for this channel for ota channels?

No I am talking about the sd version of NBC . On the 61.5 sat they have both hd and sd versions of the non hd channels in the Beaumont/Pt.Arthur ,Tx dma. Since this is an eastern arc dma I am wondering if they uplinked the sd version of NBC on the 61.5 sat like they did the 110 sat for those who have western arc .

For example:

Kbmt channel 12 ABC is on channel 5190 and is in HD on 61.5 sat.
Kfdm chanenl 6 CBS is on channel 8444 and is in SD on 61.5 sat.
Kbtv channel 4 Fox is on channel 8445 and is in SD on 61.5 sat.
Kuil channel 64 the"U"is on channel 5193 and is in HD on 61.5 sat.
Kitu channel 34 TBN is on channel 8447 and is in SD on 61.5 sat.
PBS channel 60 is on channel 8448 and is in SD on the 61.5 sat.

The only channel that I don't see is 8449 the NBC station on the 61.5 sat ,in the uplink report for 61.5 sat. So my question is still the same : is it uplinked to the 61.5 sat or not?

It is not uplinked to the 61.5 sat and this is the first time you asked that specific question.

My response to your other query still stands. None of the stations you list have both SD and HD versions on 61.5.

I never meant that they did have both sd and hd of the SAME station. In case I wasn't clear enough . They have both the hd stations and the Sd stations of the Beaumont/Pt.Arthur ,Tx dma on the 61.5 satellite. THey list them as 5190 -5193 for HD and for sd they list 8444- 8448.

Now I will try ONE more time to ask this .

Since they have uplinked the NBC station for 12.2 KBMT to channel 8449 on the 110 sat , do they also have this same sd station uplinked to the 61.5 sat so those who have eastern arc can see it ? By the way Beaumont is an eastern arc dma for HD and you need either a dish 1000.4 sat dish or a dish 1000.2 + side sat for 61.5 to get the hd versions.

And again, the answer is they do not have the "SD" uplinked to Eastern Arc.

The uplink to 110 is apparently a downconvert as according to the KBMT website there is no SD transmission. 12.2 is HD.

There must be an agreement for HD and that would be uplinked to the Eastern Arc as is the ABC.

You may have noticed that Beaumont HDs are tentatively in the Uplink list for Ceil-2 at 129 as of today. It does not include NBC either. Paperwork or Equipment availablility may be the reason for the delay in both cases.
