148W - removed tp 8, 10, 14, 20 (all 8PSK, FEC 2/3, SR 21500 ).

Can anyone tell me if there is any activity for the CBS College sports channel?

the bottom of the report shows they changed a temp channel to cbs college sports

THE CBS sports channel was up a few weeks ago. It just changed its name from a TMP channel to its real name today.

Lets check it - could be just same stream with multi headers.

Nope - 4 or 5 was ok, now the 7 (!).

7 in one stream has been the way for a while. Check TheList link in my signature and sort a bird by transponder to see the layouts.

Lets face it, if theyd drop down to 6 per, we'd prob have the PQ everyone wants. Instead, we have the PQ everyone is complaining about.

Good to see the HD movies channels, people will prob get a lot of enjoyment out of them.

Which is an average of 5.89 per transponder.

Stat Mux allows greater bitrate than that when needed, by borrowing from other channels that are having low movement and so don't need the bitrate.

Digiblur can verify that when they went from 6 to 7, they did it secretly and then SatelliteGuys had a poll about PQ on those channels, and the results were that no one thought the PQ was worse...

9505(340) - ENCOR [MPEG4 HD] added to EchoStar5 129W TP 03 ConUS beam (NA)

This map down of "340" indicates that ENCOR-HD will only be available to Starz subscribers, just like channel 340 Encore-SD...

My only lithmus test I have is when I swapped in April from D*. Immediately noticed a less sharp picture. When do they bump to 7??

Whats funny, I have posts from a couple of mo's ago asking people about D* vs Dish and PQ, most said it looked the same. NOW, everyone is bitching about Dish PQ, I dont get it. I mean it looks good, just not as good.
