Maybe its the new Mpeg 4 thats needed since the 148 is down to 1 satellite. Then they can fit more channels . Notice its SD Mpeg 4, Not HD

Alot of space of locals and yet only one local went active.

Hmm... Guess you don't have your locals in HD.. Maybe it was the multiple post in different threads that gave this away.

Not planned at all. Never listed on anything released by Dish, ever. Except for the list of 48 cities that would get them in 2006...they were spot on there.

I don't have HD locals and, like you, I look every week to see if they've been uplinked &/or turned on. Yes it is frustrating — but please stop brow beating all of us in multiple threads every week.

Done it, it does no good...at least I feel like you are listening to me...that makes me feel better. Just hoping the goons at Dish read these forums, or anywhere else on the web that I've been posting it continually.

Yeah I go to Pensacola a lot, will be there in two weeks in fact. I think that is what finally sent me over the edge, because I know Jacksonville is much bigger than Pensacola...well that and when I saw that they were getting them in Joplin, MO for no other reason than the fact that it is the hometown of their NASCAR driver Carl Edwards.

Living 45 miles from the antennas and the ABC and NBC broadcasting via VHF. I get all of the UHF stations fine...plus I'd like to be able to record more than one show at a time.
